What a beautiful first family. This is history and I am so proud as not only an African-American but an American period. Even though we African-Americans still have many hurdles in our path (some self imposed, some not), I have never been so proud of this country. I only wish my mother, a staunch supporter of voting and civil rights, was here on earth to see this. I know she is doing the shag in heaven.
Congratulations to the first family and congratulations to this country for the ability to select change. Now just remember that it will take more than one year or maybe even one term to reverse the last eight years of the Bush administration.
