Niobia Bryant is the national bestselling and award-winning author of more than fifty “Sexy, Funny & Oh So Real” novels.

In 2020, she celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the publication of her first book, a romance entitled Admission of Love. During her career she has also ventured into writing in the genres of commercial fiction, urban fiction (as Meesha Mink) and young adult fiction (as Simone Bryant).

Bryant’s books have consistently received top reviews for her skill at storytelling and character development; hit national bestseller lists; been released as audio books, book club feature selections, large print and library editions; been translated into foreign editions; and garnered award nominations/wins.  Twice she has won Romantic Times’ (RT) Best African-American/Multicultural Romance Award. One of her books, written under the pseudonym of Meesha Mink, was listed as one of the Library Journal’s Best Books  (in the African-American fiction category), and The Pleasure Trap was nominated for a RT Award for Best Multicultural Fiction. One of her books, Message from a Mistress, was adapted into a movie.

Her books have appeared in such national print and online publications as Ebony Magazine, Essence Magazine, The Star Ledger, The New York Post,  USA Today, Huffington Post, Dallas Morning News, The Birmingham Times, Upscale, Smooth Magazine, Juicy Magazine, All Hip Hop, The Library Journal, Black Hair Magazine UK, and Parle Magazine.

In 2015, she re-released her out of print romance novels via her own e-book publishing company, Infinite Ink Presents…, with the first release being a Special 15th Anniversary e-book Edition of Admission of Love. Although Bryant will continue to have her books released by major publishers, the success of the e-book reissues led to her deciding to release new books independently–making her a proud hybrid author.

On her writing career, she states, “I am a writer, born and bred. I can’t even fathom what else I would do besides creating stories and telling tales. When it comes to my writing I dabble in many genres, my ideas are unlimited, and the ink in my pen is infinite.”

Bryant was educated in the Newark Public Schools system and then attended Seton Hall University in New Jersey to earn both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Science with an accompanying Psychology minor.

Currently, the proud Newark, NJ native lives in South Carolina.
